we believe:

1.  God created it all.
In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. (Gen 1:1)

2.  Science affirms God.
"for since the creation of the world God's invisible qualities--his eternal power and
divine nature--have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made,
so that men are without excuse." (Rom 1:20)

3. God desires to have a relationship with us.
"For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son (Jesus), that
whoever believes  in him shall not perish but have eternal life." (John 3:16)

we do not believe  that the science classroom is the place to debate religion,
philosophy and world views.  Therefore we advocate strict adherence to precise
language, unbiased statements, and data-driven conclusions.  And we recognize that
scientists are just as vulnerable to making biased statements as any one else.

The National Center for Science Education (NCSE) stresses the importance of
keeping unscientific teaching out of the classroom.  They cite the court case
MCLEAN V. ARKANSAS (1982) which provides the following “legal”
definition of the essential characteristics of science:

(1) It is guided by natural law;
(2) It has to be explanatory by reference to natural law;
(3) It is testable against the empirical world;
(4) Its conclusions are tentative, i.e., are not necessarily the final word; and
(5) It is falsifiable.

We subscribe to these same tenets, and believe it is most important to teach
children the scientific method, and how to think critically within the above
framework to be able weigh evidence and draw their
own informed conclusions.
